CUETEC

Cuetec burst onto the billiard scene in 1989, developing the composite cue. After its initial success, the brand stagnated with very few new products and little to excite the billiard community. As a result, Cuetec went through a rebrand in 2018, launching a new look and several new products. Today, Cuetec prides itself on offering the most technologically advanced wood and composite constructed cues and shafts, providing players with high-performance playing equipment at affordable prices. It has earned its place as one of the top cue brands on the market.

I was an integral part of the 2018 rebrand. Starting with the logo, I modernized and establish brand guidelines that would carry across all aspects of Cuetec’s marketing and communications. Moving away from outdated and hard-to-read cursive was an important aspect of the new logo design. Furthermore, while the Cuetec colors have always been black and red, I chose a deeper and richer red to represent the brand’s new life and strength. I also designed a line of cues meant to inspire the precision and accuracy for which all players strive.
